Life

Well it has been a few weeks since I posted on here, I have been very busy at work over the last weeks and barely had time to sit down much less post or hook.  I hope to finally get back to blogging soon possibly more after the holidays and things settle down with work and the girls.  I just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Pie Anyone?

Well today was a lazy day at home.  And since I have soo many projects already started I decide hey why not start yet another.  But I wanted something quick so I decide what better to do than make something small to go on the table!  So here is my simply sweet table cozy.  And as my friend pointed out it somewhat looks like a keylime pie with a crust, lol.  I didn't even think about it until she mentioned it.  So now I am on to more projects and nope I wont be completing any of my already started projects, that would be to simple.  So I will make some hats with left over yarn.  I am a yarn addict after all, even knowing I have so much yarn I can't resist buying more!  You can never have to much yarn, who knows when you will need some for various projects.  So I prefer being prepared and stocking up.  So here I sit enjoying the silence that will soon be broken when the girls finally come home.  Then I will have to stop playin' hookie for a while and get things ready for Monday!  Back to school and work for everyone.

Finally Finished!!!!

Well it this is my first time ever blogging, so I will see how well I keep up with post.  First off let me say that I have FINISHED "Big Blue", I started this blanket 3 different times and just finished today.  A very sweet hospice nurse asked me several weeks ago if I would make her daughter a baby blanket and of course I said yes.  So.... after asking her what colors she wanted it and hearing "I don't care just boy colors" I went with simple yellow, lt blue, white and dark blue.  Well that was simple, NOT!  I never know what colors to put with what or how to place them through out a pattern, I searched out the help from my very best friend, Tracie, and of course she was a big help. Finally on my way with my colors in hand and hook I was ready to go.  So I curled up in the big comfy chair and started out.  Welllll... two times later and lots of cursing I finally settled on the lay out and was happy with the entire piece.  And today I finally added a border and finished! Yay me.  (I am not the best person to take picutres but I do the best I can, so please forgive me)
